First half notes - Jazz @ Rockets - Game 2
- If the Rockets lose, McGrady will have no one else to blame. He’s a one-man show tonight.
- Both teams are playing great defense. T-Mac has three blocks. Jazz getting a lot of help in the paint with deflections and boards
- Deron has just two assists and Boozer just two points. Deron made his first three threes.
- The Jazz failed to pull away while McGrady was on the bench from about 6:00-3:00. They basically had their first string out against the Rockets bench.
- Memo gave the Jazz some cushion with a couple of big threes to close out the quarter.
- The Rockets finally out-score the Jazz in a quarter, 24-21 in the second.
The shooting percentage for the Jazz is down. They’re shooting just 40%. That’s got to improve in the second half. Boozer needs to come back. And if Mehmet will take it to the hole a couple times, we’ll be in good shape. That’ll open up the three again. It will be a shame if the Jazz drop this one. They’ve taken the brunt of what the Rockets have dished out. The Jazz are a second half team and I think will get stronger as the game goes on.
Jazz by 15.
Okay, I’m taking that back. I totally forgot to take into account the crappy refs again.

T-Mac… 1 point in the 4th quarter?
Did the Jazz D really improve that much, did he just not get the ball as much… or did he wilt under the pressure?
What-ever it is… we’re coming home up 2-0! Can’t beat that.

I feel very left out. For some reason it wouldn’t let me comment during half-time. Good game tonight. That KK is just amazing sometimes. If I wasn’t going to be in Cali, I would SO be at the game on Thursday night. It’s good that the Jazz can take this series in 4 and rest up for the Kobe’s.

TNT guys are defending McGrady across the board. When you’re in a close game, you go to your star. HE HAS 1 4th Q POINT IN TWO GAMES.

and just for the record, McGrady DID get double-teamed tonight.

Deron has to be the toughest SOB in the NBA. I am constantly amazed and the number of times he gets whacked and bounces right up. Most of the time he follows it up with a killer shot on the next possesion as well. I dont think that the Rockets can play any better than they did tonight, great win for our boys!
