Meeting with the Mason

image

Absolutely crazy day today.  I was contacted by the Steve Mason show of 710 AM (ESPN radio) about doing a phone interview with them today.  It was completely out of the blue and a pleasant surprise.

So I will be on his show at about 1:47 MDT and you can listen live here.  I’ll be talking to Steve and JA Adande (Around the Horn & ESPN.com) about the Jazz and the WC playoffs.  They also podcast on the hour so I’ll get a link up when it’s posted.

I’ll try not to embarrass the Jazz fan base too much.

Nope, April 1 has come and gone. You can check out some other bloggers he’s had on, http://stations.espn.go.com/stations/710espn/archive?id=2682382

Dude, this is really cool. And, FYI, did you know that some of your posts say that they are by me, even though you wrote them. I would like people to think I was that crafty, but I’m not.

Yeah, it wouldn’t let me fix them. So I had to delete you as a user. Your name is still in the title though.

    And thanks.

Just heard you on the show - good job man! I also found out that your first name isn’t actually John..haha. You kept your opinions pretty even-keeled as opposed to delusional fanatic (which I probably would have been), which is a good way to represent Jazz fans. I like that because it shows that we aren’t scared/hesitant or arrogant/cocky, but instead are quietly confident about our team. Awesome.

Thanks. I didn’t want to come off as a complete homer. And they are very good interviewers. They asked some good questions and let you answer. Hope they invite me back.

Yeah, I’ve been going with the John thing for a while. I figured anyone that really wanted to know my real name could find it out.

Thanks Moni. It’s about 37 minutes long and I come in at about 29 minutes. My coice isn’t booming so you might have to turn it up.
