JRC! That's the kind of scholarly response we're looking for around here, nicely done.

I watched the Jazz/Mavs game the other day with a friend and her dad, who played college basketball in the 50s and is as old school and "right way" as you'll find. And even he was muttering things like "Jerry needs to go, he's killing these young guys." and "Would it kill him to give a compliment once in a while?"

Everyone is just tired of the self-loathing that seems to be the source of Sloan's general disposition and leadership style.

Man, JRC, I shouldn't have to use the dictionary to look up more than two words. Thanks for the comment. I don't think he's gay really, but Sloan's seemingly unbridled hatred for Giri sounds like the same thing that happened to Amaechi, if what Amaechi claims is true. And not necessarily a lifestyle per se, but like PCA said, it's something personal.

And PCA, don't think that I don't have other mean to track your movements. And if this season is a pure adrenaline rush, then they can have it. Although that's weird it was mentioned during a NBA game.

I agree with John that Sloan seems to have a personal dislike for Giricek, but I would be surprised to learn that the dislike stems from Giricek's pursuing a lifestyle that meets with Sloan's disapproval. In particular, I've uncovered no evidence that Giricek, a divorced father, is gay. The more likely explanation is that the 30-year-old Giricek carries himself with an independent dignity that Sloan, a martinet coach working for a martinet owner, considers impudent and insolent. Giricek probably compounds that "sin" by occasionally exercising his own basketball judgment during a game. That doesn't make Giricek a bad man or bad player, but it does make him a bad fit for the Jazz, an authoritarian organization that reveres a knowledge and acceptance of one's place and duty as defined by conventional wisdom. I agree with those who think there is a high probability that Giricek will be moved to another team by the trading deadline.

Let's home for Giricek's sake that he lands with a team with a style of play that meshes with Giricek's talents. And let's hope for the sake of the Jazz, and the fans of the Jazz, that Sloan stops using a howitzer when a flyswatter would do.

With Jerry Sloan as the coach, "pure adrenaline rush" can not be used to describe the Jazz. Ever. Well other than the 120+ points win... which pissed Sloan off like nothing before.

Good, I got wise to your little IP tracking schemes and took matters into my own hands. I'm a ninja like that.

P.S. I just watched a promo for "I Am Legend" during the NBA on TNT and the voiceover described the movie as "a pure adrenaline rush." Will the Jazz sue?

Sloan better not stop using CJ just to showcase Giricek to other teams.

No, I'm holding it down in Utah County for the holidays. Sadly I was in California last week and missed being front and center for Morris Almond's 51 point night in Orem. I do have hookups for seats right next to the owner so I'm definitely going to make that call here pretty soon and I'll be sure to send on the details.

Yeah, it's definitely a personal thing. And it's amazing how even a Gordan Giricek can have a VIP section.

By the way, are you out in New York?
