Preview - Miami Heat @ Utah Jazz - 3 December 2007
Basketball John
This, unfortunately, is another classic letdown game. The Jazz are coming off a big win over the Lakers, minus Okur and Boozer mind you, and now face the Heat. And on paper, the Jazz should win this going away. But for whatever reason, Shaq seems to save his best for the Jazz. And we also have Dwyane “24-26 from the line” Wade. The Jazz are probably better off leaving him open for threes and long twos than to try to let him get anywhere close to the lane and a Jazz player.
But the good news is that we’ll have Boozer and Okur back (no pun intended) to bang with the Diesel.
The Heat should be tired after getting pounded by the Nuggets last night, 115-89. Let’s hope with that, the cold air, and the high altitude, the Heat never get out of the gate and we can finish them off by half time. And let’s hope this time, that’s enough. We don’t want a repeat of last year’s game that began a six game slide where the Heat overcame a 17 point deficit in the fourth quarter.
Some other notes before tip-off:
- Jazzfanz.com message board
- Boozer is WC Player of the Month - A Jazz player hasn’t got this since Malone.
- The Jazz should have Fes
- Brewer is going to mature really quick
