Recap 4/13/2007 - Utah Jazz @ Dallas Mavericks - A win is a win is a win

While this will be looked at as an easy win because the Mavs were without Terry and Dampier, they still played Dirk and Howard.  And that’s not to mention that the Jazz were without AK (who, despite reports that he would be back the last game, will be out until the playoffs) and Giricek again.  The reason the Mavs rested their starters in the fourth was because the Jazz had almost put it away by then.  The Mavs closed it to 74-72 in th fourth, but Deron Williams had a three on the next play that started a 15-2 run.  I’m sure Dallas didn’t want to risk injury either.  The Jazz have shown they can beat the Mavs this season.  In fact, the Jazz have the best record against the top 5 teams in the conference compared to the other teams.

Boozer was one of the biggest reasons for the win, with him going to the line 11 times.  That’s how it should be.  Now they need to take care of business tonight against the Suns, finish off the Trailblazers on Monday, and hopefully their last game against Houston won’t matter.
